When I got my first camera, I almost only used it for travelling. I shot sceneries, street snap instead of pointing the lens to my home. After moving to Denmark and finally having my own kids, I realized the scenery is in long distance and what is in front is your own life.
Family photography is not just about taking pictures of children like in the studio, but includes parents, elderly or even pets. And the shooting is mainly based on natural light. It is a true record of the continuous flow of time. Take a record the whole family eating breakfast together under the beautiful sunrise, older siblings riding bikes while the toddler on the tree wheel bike, dad changing dispar for the small one while the others jumping on the bed. There are always chaos at home. Those imperfect times are the best evidence of time passing by.
I have always blieved that the core of family photography is not just taking pictures, but re-examining the relationship between oneself and family through images, so as to treat it better.
Pregnancy/New born
An intimate at-home materinity session, filled with cozy moments and genuine connection. We captured mon curied up by the nursery window, sipp tea, surrounded by baby and dreams. These images tell the queit, powerful story of waiting and preparing for a little life to begin.
